Victoria Neave In just a couple of months, our House Bill 1729 has raised over $299,000 to help fund the testing of evidence in sexual assault cases. I am proud to have authored this legislation to bring justice to survivors of sexual assault all across our state. But these horrific acts happen so often that we can always do more. That is why our office is partnering with Deeds Not Words to launch a "Clear the Kits" campaign to help raise funds to end the rape kit backlog. It costs between $200 and $2,000 to test each rape kit depending on how much DNA evidence is found in the rape kit. #CleartheKits #EndtheBacklog
